The Qur’an, originally revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in Arabic, has now been translated in almost all major languages of the world. However, there is no complete translation of the Qur’an in British Sign Language (BSL). Deaf Muslim UK is committed to not only translating the meaning of the Qur’an but also providing additional commentaries to explain the sacred text. DMUK is working with eminent scholars in Islamic studies to develop a culturally appropriate translation of the meaning of the Holy Qur’an.
